I couldn't find much about that exact error. I have ran CHKDSK and there were no problem found.įollowed this guide except for creating an image which I will try but I don't see why that would work if cloning doesn't. Made sure the drives were connected properly. The only thing I haven't tried yet is also turning on "Sector by sector" which I will try when I get home but I'm not sure if it will do anything.

I also tried with "Ignore bad sectors" enabled but it gave the same error. I then tried Macrium Reflect (Free) and then I got the following error when it was working on that same Windows partition: 'Clone Failed Error 0 Read Failed 23 - Data error (cyclic redundancy check)'.

I tried EaseUs Todo backup and it gave an error that said it couldn't read a sector in the main Windows partition. I first tried Clonezilla but I only want to clone some sectors and not the whole drive, and it seems like that wasn't an option. It's from a 2TB drive to a 1TB drive, but the sectors I need combined are smaller than 1TB. I'm trying to clone Windows 10 to a new hard drive, and I'm having trouble.
